What to get ready when an employer asks you for a document
Candora obtains none of these documents on its own. The link goes to you, you obtain and submit the document, and not supplying one is not a finding.
The insurance period statement from Czech social security
It lists the periods for which contributions were paid on your behalf, which makes it the closest thing to a record of where and how long you worked. You obtain it yourself through the social security ePortal using a citizen identity or a data box, or by written request to the district office. Since 1 January 2026 pension insurance data is reported monthly through the unified monthly employer report, so the overview on the ePortal updates monthly (source: Podnikatel.cz, 11 February 2026, a secondary source).

What it does not contain: your job title, or why employment ended
Who you give it to: the employer verifying you, not Candora directly
Candora sees into no state register and cannot. It verifies a document you supply, not you against an authority.
The criminal record extract
You obtain it yourself at a CzechPoint counter, at a post office, at a registry office, or electronically. The electronic extract carries an electronic seal and Candora checks whether that seal is intact, meaning whether anyone altered the document after it was issued.

What is not checked: nothing else; the content is the employer's business, not Candora's
Proof of study
A diploma or a confirmation of study. Candora asks the public register of schools and accreditations whether the institution exists and whether the programme was accredited during the period claimed. If the register does not answer, it lands in the report as unverified, not as a finding.
Work permission
Where a permission, a card or another document is needed to work, its validity is checked against the start date, and against the case where validity ends shortly after it. It is a check on a date, not a judgement about you.
A referee contact
You name the referee and Candora does not contact them. What is checked: whether the referee's company appears in the public register, whether the reference comes from a company you list as your own employer, and whether the address is a company one rather than a disposable mailbox.
If you wonder why that one in particular: a reference from a company the applicant lists themselves is not independent confirmation. It is not an accusation, it is a note about who is confirming whom.
