What Candora reads
The resume you sent and the details on the application, meaning your email address and phone number. Thirty-five kinds of finding are looked for over that, across nine areas. Some compare only what the resume says against itself: overlapping periods, reversed periods, gaps, two employers sharing one company number. Others ask public registers whether a company or a school existed during the period claimed.
- The resume and its file metadata, meaning creation and modification dates
- The email address and phone number on the application
- The public companies register and the register of schools
- Documents you supply yourself, if the employer asks you for them
What Candora never does, and it is enforced in code
These are not principles, they are product boundaries. Each one has a reason and a date, and they are listed on a page of their own.
- It computes no score and issues no number that sums you up
- It issues no overall label such as passed or failed
- It does not recommend how the employer should decide, and it cannot reject you on its own
- It does not scrape professional or social networks
- It does not read who created the file holding your resume
- It never writes to your former employer, your school or your referee
What it means when something could not be verified
Nothing against you. When a register does not answer, or the answer is not enough, it lands in the report as unverified, with a reason. That is a statement about a source, not about you. A thin digital footprint is never a finding, and neither is a gap in a resume: a gap has a thousand reasons and none of them are Candora's business.
Who sees the result and how long it sits there
The report goes to the employer who ran the verification. Candora passes it to nobody else and sells it nowhere. The data sits in the European Union, in Frankfurt, and the resume file itself is never written to disk: it is parsed from the request and the text is discarded after extraction.
