A message on the company's behalf
The email comes from the company through Candora. It names the position, the documents requested, the date until which the link is valid and how to decline the request.
A reason for every document
You'll see who is asking, for which position and why the company wants each document. For each one, you can choose "I don't have it or don't want to provide it".
Where to get the extract
Each document comes with instructions on where to get it, for example on the ČSSZ ePortal, the Citizen Portal (Portál občana) or the Transport Portal (Portál dopravy). If you lived in another country in the last 3 years, you also get instructions for an extract from there.
What gets read
After the upload, you see what Candora read from the extract and what it didn't. From the social security extract it reads only employers and dates, not your personal identification number (rodné číslo). Extracts are not stored; the company keeps your CV and proof of education with your application.
Something isn't clear to me
At the end of the portal you can ask a question or raise an objection. An objection stops the checks and requests until the company decides on it and records a reason.
When the data is deleted
Six months after the recruitment process ends. You get a notice 14 days in advance and can ask for an extension. With your consent the company can keep you in its candidate database for up to 5 years. If it rejects you, it keeps a short record of the decision for 3 years and 3 months in case of a dispute.
Frequently asked questions
Does software make the decision about me?
No. Candora does not give a score or an overall verdict, because with limited exceptions you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (Article 22 GDPR). A person at the company decides.
Do I have to provide the documents?
No. Each document has the option "I don't have it or don't want to provide it". The company then sees only "Not provided", with no reason.
Does Candora call my former employer?
No. Candora doesn't contact anyone about you. The company can write to a referee only if you name them yourself and approve the contact. The referee can decline with one click.
My link doesn't work.
The link is valid until the date in the email. After that date, the company may send you a new one. If you're not sure, contact the company that sent the link.
